Testimonials
I underwent triple bypass surgery in 2004 at St. Peter Hospital. I have been visiting fellow cardiac patients since 2008. (Diane)
I had rheumatic fever when I was 19, which damaged my heart valves. In year 2000, I had Open Heart Surgery with a mitral valve replacement. I cherish each day as a gift. I feel great and incredibly grateful. I pay it forward by being a Mended Hearts Visitor. (Ann)
I joined Mended Hearts in mid-2015 after unexpectedly suffering cardiac arrest. At the time, I was transported from Centralia Hospital to PSPH when everything went black. I woke the following day, dazed and confused thinking this was the end. I learned that I now had 2 stents where the blockages occurred. While a patient at PSPH, I was visited by two Mended Heart members and I was struck how happy and healthy they were and, when they told me more about MH and asked if I’d like to join, I said YES! (Kristi)
